"Don’t be afraid of change, because it’s leading you to a new beginning."
As I was scrolling through tumblr, I came across this quote and really liked it. It reminded me of all the changes that have occurred within the last year of my life. A change like deciding to ask for forgiveness and accept Christ in my life. ( This has truly made a huge difference! at least I’ve noticed lol) I have to say it’s been quite a journey, I seem to learn something new everyday, and I enjoy life! But recently, I did struggle with changing myself and a relationship. I was afraid to let go of this person in my life, and I was struggling with being more like Christ towards my family. I dealt with this battle inside me that didn’t want these changes to happen. Sometimes it’s hard to change because you are so comfortable with who you are or what you know. But I came to realize that if I am going to follow God’s will there is going to be change in my life, because he forgets about your past and begins to transform you into something new, and that is to be more like him for his purposes! I found myself being afraid of this, but I was reminded that God is GREATER than anything I might fear. I started to remember how FAITHFUL God has been, and also how LOVING he can be. And when I remember all of who God is and started to depend on him for answers I began not to fear and wanted to change my old habits, that seem hard for me to let go . God has life designed in ways for certain reasons, but He will never CHANGE. There are going to be things that I can and cannot not do, there will be things that I will and will not want to do. But to do what God wants me to do is the most important, and can’t be ignored. Remember to trust him when you need to do things or change things in your life. Have faith that it will turn out for your good. Change can be a start to new things in life, growing to know the Word of God, and learning how to live life.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
